Metal Building

Here are four essential items to consider before beginning your metal building project:

1) Your budget - How much money do you have available for your metal building project? Many people make the mistake of having enough funding for the initial phase, then running short before completion. You might want to consider a smaller building initially that can be expand to a larger facility at a later date. The purchase of a cheap ”economy“ metal building is generally a bad idea. These can quickly become maintenance problems. Purchase the highest quality metal building you can afford to minimize your expenses.

2) Components - A lot of metal buildings do not come with components as a base package. If you need windows, vents or any other items, you should know that they are usually purchased separately. Some manufacturers will include these as add-ons that can be selected at time of purchase.

3) Height - Figure at least two feet more than your tallest door or entrance requirement.

4) Erector (Contractor) - The erector selected for your metal building project will rarely offer site preparation. That is your responsibility and you must budget for these improvements. The site needs to be cleared and in some cases leveled. You must also supply the foundation for the building to be erected on.
